Newbies (part 1)

In the past eighteen months or more I
have bought some new Art'n'craft items. I think it is about time I share.

Warning - This post is going to be a long one. . . You have been warned!

So a year ago my paper cutter that a friend (also another crafter) gave me broke. . .

I first thought I could cope without the paper cutter... How wrong was I?  Seriously,  it is hard going without a paper cutter.

In the end I had to get a new one.  So I looked online at differnet guillotine's and paper cutters.  I read the reviews and in the end I decided to get the ClassicCut CL100 from Agros I paided £49.99 at the time.

I first thought a tad pricey, but I have to say well worth the money...  If you have not click the link above, here is a picture of what the ClassicCut CL100 looks like.

The ClassicCut CL100 has a safety catch/lock on the base, which you need - has the blade is sharp.  Also the blade self sharpens it self too. Has you can see there is a graud and measurements on the base.

So yes a brilliant tool for any papercrafter or office.

Sizzix Big Shot

About two years ago I first saw the Sizzix teal big shot machine. . .

Picture from the side of the box!

You guess right I fell in love straight away,  I decided to wait and see the reviews.  Plus a price drop, I might sound bad. . .  At the time I was not willing to part with £190...

Then about a year ago I signed up to receive Hobbycraft newsletters. The first newsletter I received gave me 15% off my first order. I did not know what I was going to get... Then the next email I received from Hobbycraft had the Sizzix teal big shot starter kit for £79.99.  You guessed right - I could not wait to order this.

So this is what the big shot looks like
Please note I've over used my cutting plates!

Apart from my ClassicCut I know I would be completely lost without my big shot.

I can truly say the Sizzix Big Shot as open the door to a whole new thing!

Gelato's

I know what you are thinking Ice Cream! I first thought that too as well.

.....

I first saw the Faber - Castellan Gelatos on
YennyStorytale and Tassycrafty YouTube channels. These two lady's have seriously inspired me from art journalling, mix media to card making.

So what are these Gelatos I hear you say.  Well the best way I can describe them are. . . . To look at a Gelato they look like a lip gloss at first glance. (But please don't apply to the lips.)  These little guys are like oil pastels and also like paint (when they get wet)

If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook
you may of seen my first attempt with these Gelato's!

I have to say I'm still learning about these guys. I do know they are great for mix-media projects.

Stamps and Dies

Most of my stamp's and Dies set have been freebies from magazine's...

Picture above is not all of the freebies!

Some freebies aren't truly free, these below. I had to pay £1.95 for p&p, so I ordered two packs. I think one of them I will give away!

It's a #fact I'm a sucker for freebies.  I think I've just partly proven it too. . .

Anyway apart from the freebies,

I am hooked on and crazy about what craft items are available in America and Canada...  So when heard about there is a uk site called ' Make The Day Special ' that imports from the America, I was and still am over the moon!

I have become hook lawn fawn! Picture below shows just a few stamps and Dies, I have a lot more!

Also I have Mama Elephant and Paper Smooches. Not a lot at the moment!

I think that's it for now...

Please let me know what you think?
