Not really Happening!

A little while ago a friend of mine sent me this picture. Don't you just love Maggie Smith! 

So. . . I think I shall not be so lady like for this post. 

Remember back on the 1st of January, when I said I want to do a clear out of what I have....  Well to be honest with you it's not really happening, you know the stuff I have is not going down. .  .  To me and my family its like its not doing down..

I partly blame those flaming craft magazine for a start with all the freebies they give..  It is a fact I am a sucker for freebies, I believe we are all lovers of freebies, right?

Some think I try and do now is try to work out if the free gift is worth what the magazine says it is worth or if the free gift is worth more!

But is it working? That is the question, well only time well tell!

First Quarter

I think it was back in January when I wrote about how I had started clearing out my craft stocks. Well it was mainly my Christmas stock - which you can read about in ' Its Started '.

Since then I have been a rather Busybee.

So busy that I decided to make this little video for you all.

My brothers birthday is in mid January. . . So about a week before I started to design the card!

My brother is like most of us, he loves Minions..
If you are one of those who does not know what they are here is a drawing of one I have done!

Back to the card..... So I took a pre folded white card and shaped the top... Then I put yellow and blue paper on the card. Die cut some circles for eyes and made the black band...

One thing my brother did not want was any pressys, only money... So instead of just putting some money in the card above.  I wanted to make a gift/money card wallet thingie.. With those little Minions on...

Firstly I made these little fellows 

Then I made the wallet thingie (pictures belove)... 

I first saw the wallet thingie on YouTube. 

I saw my brother a few days after his actual birthday. Has he went to London to see Adam Lambert and Queen at the o2.. Lucky or what? 

So when I did get to see him... He was absolutely in love with the card..... 

Its started!

So this month as been a interesting so far. . . On New Year Eve I made 27 cards then the next two days I just made more. All of a shudder I came to a nature stop. There is about fifhy all together.. Pictures below shows what I've been making!

Yes I know it is Christmas. . . . But it is part of my clear out for this year! 

The first week in Januray there is a birthday... So I made a simple formula one card for the little boy who birthday it was, he loves cars. Then a week later it was his sisters birthday and she is a typically girly girl, who love pink, pony's and bears (all animals).  Picture below again

2015 Big Challenge.....

First of all Happy New Year to all my followers and readers!!!

I decided about Christmas time, to give myself few challenges for 2015.....

Drum roll please!!!!!

The clear out.... When I say clear out - I mean to use every piece of craft stock I have hauled over the past years... Trust me I have a lot to get through, and I will! 

The other is to learn new skills. Either in crafting or just in life in general!

One skill I have wanted to learn for a long time is Jewellery making..

It might be a family thing, you see.

I have aunt that makes some beautiful and very intricate pieces of jewellery..

Another one restored Art Deco jewellery..

Anyway enough about them...

The Humble Poppy (part4)

December last year (2013) we had decided on doing somethink different, too our humble poppy.

Somethink spiecal to mark the one hundred years, since the start of the First World War. . . 

My mum and I decided to add gold to them.... 

Some of the group of knitters, wasn't sure about if they were taking part nor was sure on adding gold!

So while they were deciding on shall they or shall they not!

A small group of us (me, my mum and three lady's) had already decided that we were doing them...

Once we got Christmas out the way.. The five of us started knitting... It was a slow start to say the lease.

Then about February time my mum and I decided to add gold 100 . Our only trouble was were or how to find them... In the end my Auntie in Canada went to her local craft store I think its Michaels ... She found these....

Us ladys were all doing great.  Then tragedy hit my family... Which most of you will know about by now.   But for those who does not know my Aunt that I have just wrote about died mid August.. Totally out of the blue!!

So as you can all guess for my mum and I, we totally stopped knitting... It wasn't till the start October when the two of us started again...

We are both still knitting to meet demands for poppies! The other lady's did their own design with adding gold...

This is my mums and I poppy....

Second Quarter

What is happening to this year, seem to be flying by so quickly... Which is not so good!  I should right now working on my forth quarter. But instead I am starting to write my third quarter post... Before we will know it be Christmas!!!! 

So here is what I got up to during April, May and June...

April

 

April is the month of one of my aunts birthday.. She also like the others like the Art Deco style...

May has a few more birthdays in than April...  

The new home card above I made for my Aunt and Uncle. Who have moved into their new place! 

I have to say this is one of my favourite cards I have done... 

I think it is because I love all things to do dragonflies and butterflies.. I made this card for my cousin in Canada who loves dragonflies too...

 I made this one for a friend I call uncle. He loves gardening and a glass of somethink.

Made for some one I know who loves bunnies!

This one was for a close friend of the family....

June

Not a lot really happen in June, it was full of me work hard and no playing/crafting... I made the cards back in May...

The pretty card above, I made for a friend at work. 

 One of my mums friends, a close family friend. Hadn't been well in June... So I took one of my gold bags and jazzed it up. With an owl and cute flower... Then I filled the bag with sweets e.g.. Milk bottles, dip dap and other treats.

This car theme one I did was for one of my male cousin's in Canada.

The cute cat theme one was made especially for my cousin in Canada! 

Made this for a good friend of the family I call Aunt..

Sorry if my writing seem distant, maybe its me will try hard next time!!
